This project, contracted by Bishop & Levett, involved the construction of reinforced raft foundations for a four bay car garage. Firstly the existing retaining wall needed to be demolished, levels reduced and the foundations set-out. The foundations were then constructed and concrete was compacted over the top. Steel caging followed to add strength, which was then half-filled with concrete. The foundations were finally shuttered and filled with concrete to create a tampered final floor. A new retaining wall was then constructed, after which Prime Oak built the garage on the newly concreted base. The driveway leading to the garage was then tarmaced. Finally a new Rainwater Harvesting System was installed.
