Haven Primary School were building two conservatories onto one of their existing buildings. This resulted in the need for a number of different job elements. Initially the existing paving had to be taken up and stored. As the ground was not suitable for conventional footings, screw pile foundations had to be implemented to ensure safety. A reinforced raft foundation was then constructed over the top for extra strength. A concrete base was then laid for the new conservatory. Following a reduction in levels (to take into account the low threshold doors required on the new building) the paving was re-laid .
